چکیده
Introduction. Occupational air is contaminated with zinc oxide nanoparticles in the copper smelting industry, especially of brass and copper. A wide range toxic effects varied clinical symptomatology observed its compounds. Competitive relations many other metals, including calcium, copper, iron, are foundation most cases intoxication. Long-term administration or compounds to laboratory rodents affects enzymes, carbohydrates mineral metabolism. Materials methods. Subchronic intoxication repeated intraperitoneal injections acute low respiratory tract reaction a single intratracheal injection were simulated outbred white rats. Water suspensions 30-80 nm diameter applied both experimental models. Upon completion exposure, condition rats all groups was evaluated generally accepted criteria for toxicity. The student’s t-test statistical analysis obtained data. Results. Moderate development subchronic experiment demonstrated. Homogeneous ultrastructural changes spleen tissue revealed. Mitochondrial damage partial complete loss crista common. fragmentation ratio DNA found by statistically significant increase. revealed increase attraction cells capable their phagocytosis (mainly neutrophils) into tract. This shows cytotoxicity. Conclusion. general cytotoxic on rat body identified.

Acute and Subacute Toxicity of Safranal, a Constituent of Saffron, in Mice and Rats
The acute and sub-acute toxicity of safranal were studied in rat and mice within 2 and 21 days after exposure, respectively. For subacute toxicity, changes in weight as well as biochemical, hematological and pathological parameters were studied. The intraperitoneal LD50 values of safranal were 1.48 mL/kg in male mice, 1.88 mL/kg in female mice and 1.50 mL/kg in male rats. Oral LD50 values were ...

متن کاملPrenatal development toxicity study of zinc oxide nanoparticles in rats
This study investigated the potential adverse effects of zinc oxide nanoparticles ([ZnO(SM20(+)) NPs] zinc oxide nanoparticles, positively charged, 20 nm) on pregnant dams and embryo-fetal development after maternal exposure over the period of gestational days 5-19 with Sprague-Dawley rats. ZnO(SM20(+)) NPs were administered to pregnant rats by gavage at 0, 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg/day. All dams...
متن کاملSub-Acute Oral Toxicity of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles in Male Rats
ZnO-NPs suspended in distilled water were administered to Wistar rats at dose of 10 mg/ kg body weight through oral gavage for 5 consecutive days. The mean body weight gain in rats given ZnO-NPs was similar to this of control group, so no significant differences in the relative organs weight were observed between the ZnO-NPs treated-rats and control. Moreover, ZnO-NPs-exposed rats showed normal...
